Nancy Jo Haselbacher is an artist, curator, and educator based in Los Angeles. Her work explores themes of mystery, movement, and the intricate connections that exist between our bodies and the land. Born in New York City and raised in rural New England, she blends memory with tangible elements through a variety of mediums, including photography, printmaking, drawing, and sculpture. Haselbacher holds a Master of Fine Arts in Printmaking from Rhode Island School of Design and has held Professorships at Otis College of Art and Design and The Art Institute of Boston at Lesley College. Exhibitions include The Getty Center in Los Angeles, Temple University in Rome, Italy, Craft Contemporary in Los Angeles, The Institute of Contemporary Art in Boston, and The Scuola Internazionale di Grafica in Venice, Italy. Recently, her work became part of the inaugural collection of the Joe C. Wen School of Population & Public Health Collection at the University of California.
