Liquid History is part of the ongoing Library Botanica collection representing natural items from the “duff” or plant matter of the forest floor.  These sticks, leaves, and fallen flowers often go unnoticed and the magic of their regeneration unrecognized.  Yet, they are pivotal in maintaining a healthy ecosystem for future generations of plants and humans.  I collect and photograph these items and then return them to the forest floor. What remains are records representing traces of the land that is constantly rebuilding itself beneath us.

Original images range from 8 x 10 in. to 18 x 24 in. Alternate sizes can be requested as archival inkjet prints.

Liquid History: Spirea, archival inkjet print, 16 x 12 in. Size variable, 2023

Liquid History: Ground Cherry, archival inkjet print, 14 x 11 in. Size variable. 2023

Liquid History: Persimmon, archival inkjet print, 16 x 12 in. Size variable, 2023
